Penelope J. Armstead-Williams
“P.J.” began dancing in Philadelphia at the Rock School of Ballet. After a year at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, she pursued her training in New York City, earning her BFA in Dance and BA in Economics from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in May 2007. She performed the works of Bridget L. Moore, T. Lang, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Hope Boykin and the late Ulysses Dove. “PJ”s choreography was selected as the only undergraduate work to represent her school in Dance Theatre Workshop’s College Partnership Program, and has been well received in Brooklyn, Washington, DC and New York City. PJ is also a member of Philadanco.
